Default Metal Gear Solid Movie?

I think this is a reality now.

Look like we'll be getting another videogame based movie. Last one was Silent Hill and Resident Evil both of which are ok but not great. The next few are Halo, Metal Gear Solid, and Dead or Alive. Hope this movie has a great cast!

Silent Hill - Sucked
Resident Evil - Bearable once.
DoA - The lack of clothing saved it from the trash

Videogame to film = bad 99% of the time. I'll get a copy that way if it does suck means I've only wasted a few £

But Admin, look at Halo movie. It's directed by Peter Jackson the same dude that did LOTR series and King Kong. He can't possbiliy make that movie bad. Granted that this movie is getting directed by some American director (with the game creator as producer) Hopefully, they can get the sense of MGS right in the movie and not put the characters in place that they don't belong to.

Speaking of bad videogame based movies... Capcom apparently is crazy enough to do three movies based on games they made (another Street Fighters, and two other crap). I sure hope Uwe Bow(sp?) isn't directing none of those movies!!

Most of the time, movies never match the video games. All that can be hoped is that the people who made the video game series might have influence on how the movie will be done (ie Hideo Kojima as executive producer for MGS movie)
